I own Acer 5102 wlmi and i had some issues with the hardware on it .
The battery was bad after 7 months it was 15% of its previos capacity :

Could you please post your battery state and how old it is here ?

I got an Acer Aspire 5100 and I had problems with the DVD tray and the battery, too. My laptop is ca. 1.5 years old. So I'm not the only one being somewhat disappointed with Acer. Well here comes my battery info:

Hi Jabka
I had Acer Aspire 1642LM one year ago (I hope that I recall its type correctly). I had problems with motherboard - it was rebooting (servised), my dvd-rw stopped working properly - not reading and burning properly (bought cheap external dvd-rw drive and works very well), and my battery was getting weak after 1,5 year too. It could hold for maybe 0,5 hour.
